Top 10 Characters That Deserve Better Pt. 1

Some characters truly deserve their fate, and then there are those who get the worst of it for no reason. This list is dedicated to those characters who truly need more respect, deserve better in life, and most certainly deserve a friendship hug.    (BTW, this is labeled as part one because I hope to do more of these in the future.)

10. Shaggy Fur Face

This sweet dog, who appeared in this very nifty vintage book, www.amazon.com/Shaggy-Fur-Face…, once had a wonderful life with his kind owner, until the day that they sadly were separated and poor Shaggy spent much of his life living with a series of very cruel owners. Shaggy then sets off on a trip to find his original owner again, enduring a series of hardships along the way; fortunately, he and his dear owner soon reunite and all is as it should be again.

8. Wanda Fairywinkle from The Fairly Oddparents

Wanda was treated very nicely by Cosmo and Timmy in the early days of the series, but as the show went on, Cosmo and Timmy turned around and began insulting her and treating her like a loser(Calling her a part pooper, a nag, insulting her cooking and such). Honestly, this is no way to treat their friend! On the positive side, Wanda is very well loved in real life.

7. Caesar from Mr. Magoo

Poor Caesar is constantly tormented by Magoo's bratty little hamster Hamlet whose only wish is to make Caesar's life a misery. Worse still, because all of the destruction happens in Magoo's absence, Caesar always gets punished for it.

Me: "Poor doggy. Lousy little hamster..." 

6. Tammy Nobi from Doraemon

Being Noby Nobi's mom isn't an easy job. Not only does Noby never give his poor mother any respect, but Tammy often falls victim to Doraemon's stray gadgets in humiliating ways! Gosh, nobody deserves that.

5. Eugene Horowitz from Hey Arnold!

This poor little fellow seems to just exist to have bad things happen to him. Worse still, even when it looks like things are about to turn out well for him in the end, something happens(Often out of nowhere) to scuttle it. Gad...

4. Jenny Wakeman from My Life as a Teenage Robot

It's not easy being a robot. Poor Jenny is constantly picked on, disrespected, and treated like an outcast by her peers; even her mother doesn't always give her the respect she deserves! Fortunately, her friends are nice to her and will always have her back; Jenny is also very beloved in real life.

2. Schnitzel from Chowder

This poor, poor fellow never gets any respect or respite. He's constantly given grueling and humiliating jobs from his lout of a boss, has constant insults hurled at him, and is persistently abused. Worse still, much like Eugene, even when it looks like he's going to win in the end, something(Or more often someone) cruelly snatches victory from him. *Cough, Schnitzel vs. the Lead Farfel, cough* One fortunate saving grace is the fact that he's very well loved in real life.


1. Kitty Katswell from T.U.F.F. Puppy

Easily the most deserving on the #1 spot, no matter what awesome things Kitty does or how many people she saves, she still gets disrespected by her colleagues, given humiliating tasks, treated like a second class citizen, and often tortured.(Poor Kitty...) Fortunately however, her friends are kind and reassuring to her, especially her dear buddy Dudley Puppy. He it was, in fact, who stuck up for her when no one else would, had her back in difficult situations, and pulled her out of some pretty big slumps. Kitty is also very well loved in real life.
